Is this an attempt for the movie studios to draw in the thousands of people who downloaded the leaked copy to come pay money to see the movie?? Will it work??

The Wolverine director revealed last night that the theatrical cut would feature multiple “Easter egg endings” (or what some call “a button”) following the credits…

FirstShowing was in attendance and saw one of the endings, which I am told ran 25-30 seconds in length and featured the character of Deadpool. It’s not clear how many different endings will be released, but the director said more than one.

After the workprint of X-Men Origins: Wolverine showed up online, Fox head Tom Rothman told Entertainment Weekly that “the version that went out” was “about 10 minutes shorter” and “doesn’t have key scenes” that would be included in the final theatrical cut of the film.

This past week people online noticed that both the leaked “unfinished” workprint and the final cut have the same running time of 107 minutes. How could this be? Did Rothman lie? Or does the theatrical cut actually feature ten minutes of “key scenes” not in the early cut? The answer after the jump.

AICN has seen the theatrical cut and reveals:

“The workprint version IS in fact identical to the release print, sans effect and some audio work.” I understand that Fox was just trying to keep people from watching the pirated version of the movie, but did they really need to lie? And apparently the unfinished special effects don’t even look so great in their finished form Veritas says that “the finished effects are lackluster, to say the least - some really bad CGI work made me groan numerous times.”

I think the best defense against piracy is not extra security or guards with night vision goggles, but actually creating a quality product.

Last week, one of the more famous pirate, torrent downloading website, Pirate Bay, was shut down by the Swedish government.

Forbes.com has just recently released an article discussing that when Pirate Bay is shut down, search engines could become the new starting points for digital pirates, meaning Google!

“The Web’s highest-profile source of TV shows, movies and music, came to an end when a Swedish court found the administrators of the site guilty of copyright infringement, sentencing them to a year in prison and more than $3 million in fines.

But even if the Pirate Bay sinks, putting an end to file-sharing isn’t so simple. Waiting in the wings to absorb the site’s audience are dozens of second-string bittorrent tracker and index sites that have avoided the Pirate Bay’s level of notoriety, including Mininova, isoHunt and Demonoid. And according to Ben Edelman, a professor at Harvard’s Business School focused on Internet regulation, that longer-tail assortment of piracy outlets means the starting point for finding pirated content has shifted to an even more resilient source: Google!

By searching for pirated music or video, Google users can easily scan a range of lesser-known pirate sites to dig up illicit content. Those looking for the upcoming film X-Men Origins: Wolverine, for instance, can search for “wolverine torrent.” The first result is a link to file-sharing site isoHunt, with a torrent tracker file that allows the user to download the full film. In fact, searches for “wolverine torrent” on Google have more than quadrupled since the movie file was first leaked to peer-to-peer networks on April 5, according to Google Trends.”

What people need to realize that this war on piracy is an endless war!

There are numerous amounts of tips and tricks you need to know about pertaining to youtube!

1. View high quality videos

Youtube gives you the option to switch to high quality videos for some of the videos, however you can check if a video is available in high quality format by appending ‘&fmt=18′(stereo, 480 x 270 resolution) or ‘&fmt=22′(stereo, 1280 x 720 resolution) for even higher quality.

2. Embed Higher Quality Videos

While the above trick works for playback, if however you want to embed hig quality videos you need to append “&ap=%2526fmt%3D18″ and “&ap=%2526fmt%3D22″ to the embed url.
3. Cut the chase and link to the interesting part

Linking to a video where the real action starts at 3 minutes 22 seconds, wondered if you could make it start at 03:22? You are in luck. All you have to do is add #t=03m22s (#t=XXmYYs for XX mins and YY seconds) to the end of the URL.

4. Hide the search box

The search box appears when you hover over an embedded video. To hide the search box add ‘&showsearch=0′ to the embed url.

5. Embed only a part of Video

Just append ‘&start=30′ to skip first 30s of the video. In general you can modify the value after start= to the number of seconds you want to skip the video for.

6. Autoplay an embedded video

Normally when you embed a Youtube video and load the page, the player is loaded and it sits there waiting for you to hit the play button. You can make the video play automatically by adding ‘&autoplay=1′ to the url part of the embed code.

7. Loop an embedded video

Append ‘&loop=1′ to make the video start again without user intervention after it reaches the end.

8. Disable Related Videos

Publishing your content in the form of Youtube video? Don’t want people to see other people’s content that may be related but may as well be in competition to you? Just add ‘&rel=0′ to the end of the url part of the embed code and you just turned off the related video suggestions!

9. Bypass Youtube Regional Filtering

Some videos are only available in certain parts of the world. Your IP Address is used to determine your location and then allow or deny access to the video. Change the url from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v= to http://www.youtube.com/v/

10. Download Video

Although not inherently a youtube trick but useful all the same for downloading videos. Just change youtube to kickyoutube in the url of the video and it will take you to kickyoutube.com with all the options for downloading the video you were watching.

Currently in the midst of a European headlining tour, Underoath guitarist Tim McTague recently sat down with U.K. magazine Metal Hammer and discussed his feelings on the state of metal and metalcore. McTague pulled no punches, saying, “What’s popular, to a degree, is what pushed me to find something that isn’t popular for Underoath. Chiodos or Escape The Fate who do kind of the same thing - screaming and singing and whatever - do it their way, so we’re like, ‘let’s do it completely the opposite’ because we don’t want to be associated with them. It’s not about ‘the thing’ it’s the approach to the thing that’s important.

“People might associate us with Avenged Sevenfold because they’re pissed republicans and ’so metal’, but they’re a gimmick, they’re a circus,” McTague continues. “They can’t play and they can’t write a song. What’s worse is the way they look. If you need to have make-up and crappy names like Synyster Gates to sell records, then you shouldn’t be here. That’s not rock ‘n’ roll to me. Arena rock maybe, but not real rock ‘n’ roll. If you’re basing yourself on how cool you are or how many girls you can trick into thinking your band is cool you can just… take that home. I’m not saying that’s what Avenged Sevenfold do, but they do a lot of crap that makes me think, ‘that’s why you and us will never be the same’. At the same time, we don’t write a really heavy record ‘just to show all those Avenged Sevenfold fans what real metal is like.’”

There has been no response from A7X yet. Underoath will return to the U.S. for a headlining slot on the 2009 Warped Tour all summer long.

Rihanna recently got some new tattoos including a set of tiny guns and a some words of wisdom from the from the Hindu holy text The Bhagavad Gita written in Sanskrit. The only hiccup is that tattoo artist BangBang etched the words into Rihanna, but incorrectly wrote the scripture, reports The Sun.

An Aussie expert on an education website says the first part means “forgiveness, honesty, suppression and control” and is from Gita, a holy Hindu Sanskrit scripture, but says it is “incorrectly written”.
