UNBELIEVABLE!
According to CNN.com,
“A polar bear attacked a woman at Berlin Zoo Friday afternoon after she climbed a fence and jumped into its habitat during feeding time, police said Saturday.
One adult polar bit her several times after she plunged into the moat, police said.
It’s unclear why the woman entered the bear habitat, but police issued her a citation for trespassing.”
FML were probably the first words out of her mouth.

“Its about time…”
This is what most people are saying around campus today as the news spread that Dennis Felton will no longer be coaching at the University of Georgia. After years of attempting to turn around UGA’s basketball program since it was destroyed by Coach Herrick it seems Felton was not the man for the job.
Georgia Basketball is a joke…
I’ve played intramural basketball games with guys that could play for UGA, but turned the program down because of UGA’s pathetic basketball reputation.
Who can turn this program around? How much is it worth to UGA to do that?
With an economy that is struggling, is there even money to bring in someone with the potential to change this weak program?
I know I just paid an extra $100 to the University of Georgia because of the struggling economy. I’ll be even more mad if I have to pay more money to help pay some high class coach. I don’t know maybe it is worth it…
Some of the prospects that they are looking at bringing to Georgia is Oklahoma’s Jeff Capel; Xavier’s Sean Miller; UNLV’s Lon Kruger; Baylor’s Scott Drew; and Virginia Commonwealth’s Anthony Grant. Maybe even bringing back Tubby Smith…
If UGA was to ask my opinion, I would bring Bobby Knight out of retirement and bring him to Athens! I would help pay for that guys salary. He is known to change programs around. He would create basketball fans once again. He would coach and develop a great basketball program. For goodness sake Knight is responsible for turning Coach Mike Krzyzewski into the person he is today. That should be enough said…
Someone like Bobby Knight is who UGA needs!
I’m sure Felton feels a lot like President Bush did when he left office. They both realized they did some good things, but man did they mess up. Then again whoever comes into this broken program should feel like President Obama, because there must be change. Just like I would hate to be in Obama’s shoes so would I hate to be in the shoes of the next coach at Georgia…
My President is black!
Young Jeezy created a music video to his famous song “My President is Black” just in time for the inauguration of Barack Obama.
Be on the look out for the big white guy with an American Eagle Blue polo…priceless
Found this on youtube today. I just thought it was funny that Warren Sapp and Young Jeezy are at a party full of white rich kids. Harvisk claims it to be the only real video from the house party of the swimming race between Michael Phelps and Warren Sapp. Here is what Harvisk had to say about the video…
Uncut version: Michael Phelps and Warren Sapp squared off in the pool at the Gansevoort in South Beach. Even with a half a pool head start Phelps beat Sapp. Young Jeezy gave us a little quote at the end of who he had his money on. This is not the version found on any gossip sites, this is the only version.
I would embed the video but this guy is trying to bank off of his video so he won’t allow anyone the rights to embed the video. Follow the link here to watch the home video of Michael Phelps beating Warren Sapp.

The second season of Flight of the Conchords is scheduled to premiere on HBO on January 18th, 2009.
However, the first episode of the second season premiered online on Funny Or Die a few weeks early on December 17th, 2008
Bret McKenzie stated that second season took longer to produce because the band had used most of their material in the first season. In an interview with The Star Ledger, he said “We’d need some time to develop new material. It’s like the second album syndrome. It might take a lot longer”.
Shortly after the renewal announcement, Clement stated in an interview that the second season would likely consist of fewer than twelve episodes “so they could concentrate on ‘quality not quantity’”.
McKenzie and Clement returned to their home town of Wellington to write for the second season, although the writing process was delayed by the 2007-2008 Writers Strike. Filming for the 10 episode second series began in September 2008.
That same month, McKenzie and Clement were quoted in a Q interview that the second season would most likely be the last.
Either way their first episode will premiere January 18th, 2009, but here is the first episode which was premiered on FunnyorDie.com this past Wednesday. Watch the new episode here…
There is really I need to say here except that you need to watch this….
If you are a fan of Jon Foreman, Lead Singer of Switchfoot, and Sean Watkins from Nickel Creek then you are in for a real treat! Because the two of them have been teaming up and working on an album together. The name of the duo is the Fiction Family and their first album is to be released in the new year January 20th. They only have one song up right now on their myspace and personally I am a fan already. I will be sure to get my tickets to see them play live in Atlanta in January. Here is an excerpt of how Jon and Sean describe their new project Fiction Family:
Hello friends!
The wait is nearly over. Fiction Family’s debut record is eponymous and upon us….. relatively, being that we’ve been threatening to release it for the last couple years.
Fiction Family is myself (Sean Watkins) and Jon Foreman (Switchfoot) and we’ve been working on a record together for the last three years. Unofficially we met maybe 12 years ago, in the parking lot of Off Shore Surf Shop in Carlsbad, CA. We both had just gotten out of the water and were introduced by a mutual friend who wanted us to meet cause we were musicians….we shook hands and gave each other a smile that said…”sure you’re in a band, aren’t we all?” But officially, we met backstage at a music festival in downtown San Diego called Street Scene. Nickel Creek and Switchfoot were playing one after another.
Anyhow, the record started as simple plan to co-write a song, which then then turned into a plan to make a 3 song garage EP, which was so fun we decided to make it a 5 song EP, which led to the idea of making it 7 songs and the ability to sell it for $10. As soon as money entered the equation, it was all over folks. At that point we realized that with just a few more songs we’d have a real record… that would of course, sell millions, alter the course of rock and roll and make us rich and lazy…..of course, i kid…..partly. Not kidding about the being lazy part. Anyway, it’s coming out January 20th and we’re very excited. It’s really icing on the cake that this record is even being released properly. ATO none the less. Ideal, really.
Most of the time while making this record, we were thinking that we’d probably end up just giving it away online and perhaps play a few shows. Just that sounded fun and fulfilling enough for the work we were putting into it. We recorded it all at our homes in north county San Diego. The basic tracking was done as he and i playing in front of a few mics at his or my house on the very rare days that we were both off the road over the last couple years. When one of us had time off and the other was touring, whoever was home would chip away at the songs alone and send emails with overdub/harmony/etc ideas. With a just few exceptions we played all of the instruments on it. Not on purpose, but more because it was just easy and the songs ended coming to life at random times and sporadicly. It was a very relaxed and home oriented project.
I’ve never worked on any recording project in such a non pre-concieved and organic way. It was freeing to have no time frame, no one looking over your shoulder, no idea what it would end up as and no musical manifesto. And at times, it was a little frustrating for those same reasons. Thankfully ATO stepped in and agreed to release it which gave us motivation and a timeline for having it all finalized, turned in and done. The old adage that “you never finish a record, you just stop working on it” holds true. Whereas, we could have had endless fun adding and changing this record, it was nice to put it in the can and move toward getting out to you fine folks. Ultimately it was a wonderful experience that yielded a record we’re both proud of and very invested in.
Hope y’all like it too!
